my sister and i know how to have the bestest of times. we laughed and danced and sang more than i have in my entire life. i love her to pieces...and so do her nieces and nephews! thanks for the visit!!!

nothing beats spending the day on the beach under the hot sun. believe it or not, patty and i relaxed and aidan, memphis and merrick had as much fun as we did.

sweet sue lost her first tooth. i can hardly believe it. she has been anticipating this day since many of her schoolmates have been losing their baby teeth for months. after having a difficult time eating and thinking about nothing but her loose tooth, daddy took a pair of pliers and pulled the dangling tooth out. kira is such a strong, courageous girl and i love the little girl that she is! she definitely deserved the 5 one dollar bills the tooth fairy brought her.

we discovered many wonderful and exciting things...like crazy sea creatures at the beach....

that we can bring a little bit of new york with us wherever we go....

and in puerto rico, feeding sky rats is looked upon as a great way to pass some time (used a whole bottle of sanitizer after this activity)...

hanging by the pool is a favorite...

especially when it gets so hot that even i get in...

that history can be fun...

that nothing at all can make us happy...

and that together...

life on vacation....

can be sweet...

with a kiss to the arm:)

the circus was exciting but petrifying. ian and i kept exchanging looks the entire show which meant to say, “what the... can they really do that? we were all on the edge of our seats, shocked to see what the next act would be. needless to say, it left me wanting to do this. anyone care to join me? and i am serious!

And the only thing that makes this rain so wonderful is that we are leaving it tomorrow for the best sun on earth.

after an excruciating morning of getting nine kids ready, walking 30 minutes to watch some sweaty people run with 9 children, walking another 15 minutes with 9 children, catching a train (in some cases two trains) with 9 children, and watching 4 sweaty people cross a finish line with 9 children...we did it!!! we watched a marathon!!! oh wait, I guess these four great looking friends deserve all praise. 26.2 miles. great job conrad, ian, ryan and katie!!!

bondarenko and i have been friends forever it seems like. although we only get together once a year, our goals keep us united. alright, alright...she doesn’t know we are bff’s. but i do watch her play every year at the us open and meeting her was a dream come true. go alona! it was my pleasure.
